Does counter 71 require reservations?Yes, reservations are essential for all guests at Counter 71. Due to our limited seating and the nature of our chef’s table experience, we recommend booking early via our Tock booking page.

Does lowcountry require reservations?Lowcountry, our cocktail bar located beneath Counter 71, welcomes both walk-ins and bookings. For guaranteed seating, we recommend reserving a spot in advance.

Can Counter 71 accommodate dietary requirements?We do our best to accommodate allergies and specific dietary needs, but we are currently unable to provide vegan menus or dishes free from dairy, egg, or alcohol. All dietary requirements must be confirmed at the time of booking or via email at contact@counter71.co.uk. Please note, we are unable to adapt the menu for dislikes or personal preferences. Requests made within 48 hours of your reservation may not be accommodated.

What is your cancellation policy for Counter 71?We operate a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 48 hours before your booking to avoid a charge. Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a fee of £130 per guest to cover the cost and impact on our small team. We appreciate your understanding.

Can I book for a larger group at Counter 71?Yes, for all parties of 6 or more, to enquire about private dining & venue hire of the restaurant or Lowcountry bar, please email us at contact@counter71.co.uk. A deposit of £130 per guest may be requested to secure group bookings.

Does Counter 71 offer wine or beverage pairings?Yes, we provide several pairing options: Wine Pairings covering five glasses are available for £90 / £130. A fully Alcohol-Free Pairing is available, featuring sparkling teas, cocktails & soft drinks paired over five servings and priced at £55. A Hybrid Pairing, which includes both wine & alcoholic-free pairings is also available for £70. Pairings are per person & may be chosen on the day.

What are the minimum spend requirements for private hire?For private hire, the minimum spend is £3,000 for Counter 71, £1,500 for Lowcountry and £4,000 for a combined booking. These amounts include food, drinks, and service charge. For lunchtime events, please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.

Is a deposit required to confirm a booking?Yes, a £1,000 deposit is required to secure your date.

How do you handle dietary requirements or allergies?We strive to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies, but we cannot guarantee menus free from egg, onion, garlic, or alcohol. All dishes are prepared in the same kitchen, so cross-contamination is possible. Vegan and dairy-free options are not possible at this time. Please email any dietary requirements at least 72 hours before your booking.

What is your cancellation policy?Cancellations made within 7 days of the booking will result in the loss of your deposit.

Can I adjust my guest count for a booking?You can request to increase your guest count by emailing us at contact@counter71.co.uk. We will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

What time do events start at Counter 71?Counter 71 dinners begin at 19:00, unless agreed otherwise. Please allow 2.5 to 3 hours. Lowcountry opens from 17:30. If your event is only in Lowcountry, you may start any time after that. For lunchtime events, please contact the restaurant directly.
